There has been a lot of discussion about chameleons in the Tiger class.  We learned that they change colors based on their body temperature and mood.  Ms. Alli read the book the The Mixed Up Chameleon by Eric Carle.  The children created their own changing chameleons with paint and paper plates.

The beautiful weather has given us the opportunity for a circle time puppet show outdoors.  Our beanie chameleon changed colors when he was feeling sad that his friends wouldn’t play with him.  The chameleon continued to change colors when feeling cold, hot, angry and happy again after his friends included him in play.

At the easel we experimented with painting using real leaves.  We learned that the softer leaves allowed for more paint on the paper, while the crunchier leaves did not work as well.

Have a great night,
Ms. Lorraine and Ms. Alli
